SCERT D.El.Ed Assam 2026
SCERT Assam, similar to NCERT in New Delhi, is dedicated to advancing school education and teacher training within the state. Since its inception, SCERT Assam has prioritized enhancing the quality of both school education and teacher education.
In line with the RTE Act, 2009, the Government of Assam introduced the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) program in January 2012. This program aims to equip aspiring elementary school teachers with essential professional skills. Recognized by NCTE, the course curriculum was initially developed by SCERT Assam to align with NCFTE, 2009 standards. It has since been organized into four semesters, focusing on providing future teachers with comprehensive knowledge, positive attitudes, appropriate behaviors, and crucial skills. This structured approach ensures effective teaching in classrooms, schools, and communities, thereby enhancing the overall quality of education.
