   The Assam DElEd Admission Process 2025 is expected to commence in July 2025. The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam will conduct the admission process for the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) course offered by government, provincialized, and private teacher education institutions across Assam.  

   Admission will be based on the SCERT Assam DElEd Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2025. The official exam date will be announced soon on the official website: @scertpet.co.in.  

    The DElEd program is designed to train aspiring teachers for the elementary stage. As mandated by the RTE Act, 2009 and NCTE norms, having a professional teaching qualification such as DElEd is compulsory for teaching in primary schools across Assam.

• Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.

  • Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board.  
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (excluding extra optional subjects).

Assam DElEd Admission 2025: Counselling Process

• Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will be invited for counselling.  
• The Merit List is prepared based on PET scores and marks in HSSLC/Bachelor's degree.  
• District-wise merit lists are prepared.  
• Seats are allotted based on availability and candidate rank.  
• A waiting list is also maintained.  
• Candidates must report to the designated TEI with documents for final admission.
