Sub: Complaint Regarding Sudden Rise in Prices of Essential Commodities

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the sudden and steep rise in the prices of essential commodities in our locality. This surge is severely affecting the daily lives of common people. The recent hikes in petrol and diesel prices have disrupted transportation, while the costs of essentials like cooking gas, rice, vegetables, edible oil, salt, and sugar have skyrocketed, making it difficult for lower and middle-class families to maintain a normal life.

In light of these challenges, we urge the Government of Assam to establish fair price shops in every locality to mitigate the impact of this price rise on the general public.
